Thanks to Darkfrost and Jimmy for pushing me to do this feature!

The feature is pretty self-explanatory. When enabled, any new members that register will be placed into the "Validation" group rather than the typical "Member" group. This will allow you to set special permissions for members that have registered, but have not yet been given the go-ahead from an admin.

To use:
  1. Login to the ACP
  2. Browse to Members->Member Validation
  3. Enable it!
After that, you can go to the same page in the ACP and allow any new signups through.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement.

Personally, I plan to keep using auto-validation unless you find a way so it requires manual validation only for suspect members (like possible spambot IPs).
Course clear! You got a card.

I actually programmed this in too. Instead of denying possible spam bots registration, it puts them in the validation group, regardless of whether or not you have the feature enabled.

Awesome! Spambots everywhere will be in mourning, however.

I don't have a problem with this, but some admins might like it so that new registrations with the same IP as another member (especially a banned one) can be manually validated as another exception to auto-validation.

Also, it would be cool if admins could enable an e-mail notification (similar to when you get a PM) whenever someone new registers.

Just in-case anyone's missed it, multi-level lists now work and there's an option to disable wysiwyg format editing by default in the UCP now
